Has a new EPL rivalry been born? Haaland vs Nunez

Haaland v Nunez

Two incredible talents have just signed for two premier league title contenders

Erling Haaland was signed to City for the fee of 51 million Euros whereas Liverpool signed Darwin Nunez for a whopping 85 million.

The 2022-23 EPL season would indubitably be a joy to watch not only because it’s the most-watched league in the world, not only because there are more chances of upsets during the campaign but because the already intense rivalry between City and Liverpool as both teams added prospective goal machines to their already incredible strike force.

Let’s get to the numbers both players have put up:

Erling has already established himself as a generational talent as he came into the limelight when he burst into the champions league with RB Salzburg back in 2019 and continued his dominance when he joined Dortmund and scored an outrageous 86 goals in a total of 89 matches played. He’s also very prolific in international outings. Playing for the Norwegian team, Halaand scoring is almost certainly guaranteed as he’s scored 23 goals in 19 games. In the Champions he also holds the record for most goals by a young player scoring 23 times in 19 outings. These numbers are just transcendent and it has been the norm for Haaland he’s been as consistent as it gets.

He’s going to be lined up for a team that scored an average of 2.61 per game without a proper number 9!! It’s really going to rain in goals for the Manchester side with his addition and also his European prowess

On the other hand, the 22-year-old Uruguayan just had his best season as only Lewandowski had a better per minute ratio. He netted 26 times in 28 outings and 6 in 10 in European competitions.

He’s scored a solid 48 in 85 appearances for Benfica during his two seasons with the Portuguese side, Benfica.

Coming from his Stellar season and now he’s joined a team that’s known for their offensive capabilities, he’ll be a perfect fit for the team and help them with the already established Rivalry with their contemporary.

Who do you think would help the team more and perform up to standard? Who would live up to expectations? let us know down below.

Over these past weeks, there have been changes in management,  and  also in the team, as some players are leaving and some are still expected to leave but is it going smoothly? I think the first very notable change is the transfer business conduct, usually, Chelsea has been direct in transfer dealings which makes it easy for them but now that the new owner Todd Boehly is temporarily in charge of transfers as Marina is said to be leaving the club this week, it would have an impact definitely. Also , his idea of how a football team should do transfers might be different maybe he likes to grow and build players, buy quality players at low prices and train them or just buy the big names or sell players off the books to generate funds from the club do transfer business as we know that Chelsea has a big squ...
