As we know we are now in the transfer
business part of the football calendar, Chelsea interestingly just got over one
huge hurdle which is the change of ownership. Over these past weeks, there have
been changes in management, and also in the team, as some players are leaving
and some are still expected to leave but is it going smoothly?
I think the first very notable change is
the transfer business conduct, usually, Chelsea has been direct in transfer
dealings which makes it easy for them but now that the new owner Todd Boehly is
temporarily in charge of transfers as Marina is said to be leaving the club
this week, it would have an impact definitely.
Also, his idea of how a football team should do transfers might be different maybe he likes to grow and build players, buy quality players at low prices and train them or just buy the big names or sell players off the books to generate funds from the club do transfer business as we know that Chelsea has a big squad with quality and prospects all round, we are yet to find out. There's been a shortlist of some players Chelsea has been said to be interested in, like Jules Kounde, Raheem sterling, Ousmane Dembele, Adrien Rabiot, Raphinha and a few other players but there hasn't been any bid or talks officially as it seems.
For a fact, Ivan Perisic who recently signed with their London rival Tottenham was reportedly a
very high target for Chelsea but we have seen how that went, this looks like a
sign and a long summer transfer window for a Chelsea supporter this time. With
new owners changes are expected, either major or minor ones and we are about to
find out how the club will be doing business now.
